Port Wilson Lighthouse and U.S. Coast Guard Station, Fort Worden State Park

After leaving Seattle and crossing Puget Sound on the ferry we drove up to Port Townsend on the northeast corner of the Olympic Peninsula of Washington.I've never been to this part of the U.S. before, so even the quick trip was great.

The mid-day light was bright and harsh and there seemed to be a landscaping project underway around the buildings, so this image of the lighthouse isn't so appealing, but sometimes you take what you can get.

(Photo info: Sony A100, iso 100, Tamron 18-200 lens at 50 mm, f/4.5, 1/2000 sec, hand held), Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend, Washington, January 12, 2007
