Broad Bull

A close look at cows -- or bulls -- reveals that each of them has a unique appearance. I know less about bulls, but my experience with cows on the farm taught me that they have unique personalities as well. The photos I snapped of these bulls on a foggy morning shows how different each one looks.

I started this photoblog about 11 months ago (on January 22, 2006). During 2006, I posted 373 images, a few more than one per day. I'm learning to create series of photos with a theme, such as Bulls in the Fog. I'm learning more about the kind of narrative to include. The photos have to carry the photoblog, but how do I include a few sentences that help tell the story and engage the viewer .

I've learned a lot about my photography by using this photoblog. Putting my image in a frame online focuses my efforts on composition, exposure, color, lighting, processing and then evaluating it.

I've met some great people too. I had not anticipated that rewarding feature of the photoblog. Thank you to all who have visited. All of your comments have been helpful.I enjoy making the rounds almost every day to check out the new images. I don't have as much time to do this as I'd like. I visit more often than I leave comments.

I'm looking forward to 2007.
