Great Egret.
I've found the most amazing wildlife santuary on a fallow farm in Frederick County. There's more wildlife in this area than I've seen in most parks or official wildlife areas.
I could see big white birds flying in the distance, but they were too far away for me to identify them. Yesterday morning, I was thrilled when this Great Egret landed in the top of a tree within the range of my long lens.
I'm getting ahead of the story. I have other photos that explain how I found this place. I'm way behind in processing images and I don't always process them in chronological order.
More to come.
