Hunting Creek in Catoctin Mountain State Park. This was taken late afternoon after a hard rain. Everything was still wet and the trees were dripping water.
It was a challenge to keep the sunlight highlights from blowing out and preserve the detail in the shadows.I dropped the exposure by a third of a stop. Some of the shadow areas were quite dark and I opened them up some with Photoshop. I used a polarizer to cut some of the reflections on the water, leaves and rocks.
