Pastures on top of cliffs on the north Antrim coast of Northern Ireland.
This image is all about the light as the storm clouds filter the light which plays across the green pastures and water.
Northern Ireland is a beautiful place. Every where I looked there was a landscape scene ready to be captured. The rolling green hills dotted with yellow shrubs, the cliffs and water, the sheep and cows grazing in pastures, the horizons dotted with trees, houses, and barns, and mostly the light. The fast moving weather systems produced clouds that streamed across the sky, adding drama to the sky and changing the light and shadow on the land by the second.
All the images I've put up on this site were taken in a 24 hour period, a number of them from a moving coach! With the exception of a few images from Bangor, where I had my tripod, all the images were snapped with a hand held camera.
I have more images of Northern Ireland's coast and landscape, but I think I'll move on to some other images for now. As I finish processing the images, I may post a few more later. My image processing skills have also matured by working on these images. I received a lot of suggestions and guided examples of how to process this particular image from the folks at NatureScapes.net. They are a knowledgeable, friendly bunch. Stop over at their site.
I've love to return to Northern Ireland again, and I've never been to Ireland. I have to put that on my list.
