Brown Pelican with Fish, Laguna Madre

The Pelicans at South Padre Island are amazing. I never got tired of watching them. They are such funny looking birds, but they are so agile for their size. I have so many pictures of them I'm having a hard time sorting through all of them and deciding which ones to keep and post. There are some great ones of them taking off, flying, and diving for fish.

I do have some landscapes, too. But the birds were awesome.

(Photo info: f/9, 1/1600 sec, iso 400, 400 mm, tripod), South Padre Island, Texas, Feb 27, 2006.
